Today
I birthed myself upon the earth,
with its cool waters and warm breeze.
I traveled in memories as ancient
as the masters voice
who told of how it once was.
And as I held the earth in loving hands
I rose to the consciousness of gratitude
as I gathered together with others
and began to understand life’s purpose.
