UFO hunters believe alien secrets are hidden in a guarded compound
Rumored to be haunted, Rudloe Manor allegedly holds files on aliens that "the authorities don't want us to know."
UFO hunters believe that mind-blowing secrets about aliens are being kept at an old spy base that is under heavy guard.
RAF Rudloe Manor, which is now closed to the public, is believed to hold all the extraterrestrial finds in the UK that the authorities "don't want us to know about".
Located in Wiltshire, Rudloe Manor is a stately mansion built in 1685 and originally used as a country residence. It is often referred to as "Britain's Area 51."
Over the centuries, it changed hands until it was requisitioned by the British government during World War II. The mansion became a military center used to defend the country and is said to conceal a labyrinth of underground tunnels and bunkers, originally built as quarries and later adapted for use by the Royal Air Force and the Ministry of Defense.
The estate itself served as headquarters for RAF Rudloe Manor, coordinating operations in the underground facilities, and was also used as intelligence offices. Now, experts claim the old mansion, which is allegedly used as a center for "storing all files on aliens and otherworldly creatures," is haunted.
Professional ghost hunter Robert Pulme said, "Rudloe Manor is said to be haunted by two restless spirits. The first is believed to be a German prisoner of war, reportedly held at the facility during World War II. He is said to be a thin, gaunt, and frightening man who terrorizes the hallways. Eyewitnesses have reported an overwhelming terror upon seeing him, with several accounts claiming that witnesses required medical attention after their encounters. The purpose or reason for his haunting the estate remains a mystery, though some speculate his death was violent, perhaps even related to military interrogations. The second ghost is a little girl in white, believed to have been a servant in the early years of the estate."
"But we also believe there are files stored there that they don't want us to know about. For decades, there have been rumors that this facility was once the center of secret UFO investigations in Britain."
From the 1950s to the 1980s, local residents and researchers claimed that the Ministry of Defence used the Corsham underground complex as a secret centre for the analysis of unidentified flying objects. Declassified documents also revealed that RAF Rudloe Manor served as an "airborne defence reconnaissance centre" for aerial phenomena.
"Many of us believe this is the key to discovering what secrets they know," Mr. Pulme added. "That area is still heavily guarded. Why would they keep guards there if not to protect something important?"
The history of Rudloe Manor is truly full of mysteries and omissions, making it the perfect basis for conspiracy theories. Situated near the famous city of Bath and the equally famous Stonehenge, this complex has captivated the imagination of British ufologists for many years.
What is really known about Rudio Manor?
Firstly, the secrecy surrounding the complex has a perfectly rational explanation. The underground tunnels of Corsham aren't just an "alien base," but part of a government network of bunkers built in case of nuclear war (the so-called "city in the rock"). Backup government communications, archives, and even food and fuel reserves could still be stored there. Military installations of this magnitude are always guarded, and they don't require aliens to do so.
Secondly, UFO connections do exist, but they are most likely related to Rudloe Manor's role in the UK's air defense system during the Cold War. The Air Target Tracking Center received data from radars across the country. Any unidentified signal (and there were many of them in those years due to secret Soviet and American aircraft testing) was automatically included in the report. This is where the "UFO files" came from. In the 2000s, the UK Ministry of Defense declassified and made thousands of pages of such reports publicly available.
