Facts about Weed(Hemp) you may not know...

In my wanderings this eve., I ran across this. Thought I would share a few fun facts with you about our precious weed... I really found the one about Henry Ford and the model T interesting... I have posted the link to the site at the end if you'd like to read more. Its a pretty cool site. This is just a small sample...The real reason Cannabis has been outlawed has nothing to do with its effects on the mind and bodyMARIJUANA is DANGEROUS. Pot is NOT harmful to the human body or mind. Marijuana does NOT pose a threat to the general public. Marijuana is very much a danger to the oil companies, alcohol, tobacco industries and a large number of chemical corporations. Various big businesses, with plenty of dollars and influence, have suppressed the truth from the people. The truth is if marijuana was utilized for its vast array of commercial products, it would create an industrial atomic bomb! Entrepreneurs have not been educated on the product potential of pot. The super rich have conspired to spread misinformation about an extremely versatile plant that, if used properly, would ruin their companies.Where did the word 'marijuana' come from? In the mid 1930s, the M-word was created to tarnish the good image and phenomenal history of the hemp plant...as you will read. The facts cited here, with references, are generally verifiable in the Encyclopedia Britannica which was printed on hemp paper for 150 years:* All schoolbooks were made from hemp or flax paper until the 1880s; Hemp Paper Reconsidered, Jack Frazier, 1974.* It was LEGAL TO PAY TAXES WITH HEMP in America from 1631 until the early 1800s; LA Times, Aug. 12, 1981.* REFUSING TO GROW HEMP in America during the 17th and 18th Centuries WAS AGAINST THE LAW! You could be jailed in Virginia for refusing to grow hemp from 1763 to 1769; Hemp in Colonial Virginia, G. M. Herdon.* George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and other founding fathers GREW HEMP; Washington and Jefferson Diaries. Jefferson smuggled hemp seeds from China to France then to America.* Benjamin Franklin owned one of the first paper mills in America and it processed hemp. Also, the War of 1812 was fought over hemp. Napoleon wanted to cut off Moscow's export to England; Emperor Wears No Clothes, Jack Herer.* For thousands of years, 90% of all ships' sails and rope were made from hemp. The word 'canvas' is Dutch for cannabis; Webster's New World Dictionary.* 80% of all textiles, fabrics, clothes, linen, drapes, bed sheets, etc. were made from hemp until the 1820s with the introduction of the cotton gin.* The first Bibles, maps, charts, Betsy Ross's flag, the first drafts of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were made from hemp; U.S. Government Archives.* The first crop grown in many states was hemp. 1850 was a peak year for Kentucky producing 40,000 tons. Hemp was the largest cash crop until the 20th Century; State Archives.* Oldest known records of hemp farming go back 5000 years in China, although hemp industrialization probably goes back to ancient Egypt.* Rembrants, Gainsboroughs, Van Goghs as well as most early canvas paintings were principally painted on hemp linen.* In 1916, the U.S. Government predicted that by the 1940s all paper would come from hemp and that no more trees need to be cut down. Government studies report that 1 acre of hemp equals 4.1 acres of trees. Plans were in the works to implement such programs; Department of Agriculture* Quality paints and varnishes were made from hemp seed oil until 1937. 58,000 tons of hemp seeds were used in America for paint products in 1935; Sherman Williams Paint Co. testimony before Congress against the 1937 Marijuana Tax Act.* Henry Ford's first Model-T was built to run on hemp gasoline and the CAR ITSELF WAS CONTRUCTED FROM HEMP! On his large estate, Ford was photographed among his hemp fields. The car, 'grown from the soil,' had hemp plastic panels whose impact strength was 10 times stronger than steel; Popular Mechanics, 1941.* Hemp called 'Billion Dollar Crop.' It was the first time a cash crop had a business potential to exceed a billion dollars; Popular Mechanics, Feb., 1938.* Mechanical Engineering Magazine (Feb. 1938) published an article entitled 'The Most Profitable and Desirable Crop that Can be Grown.' It stated that if hemp was cultivated using 20th Century technology, it would be the single largest agricultural crop in the U.S. and the rest of the world.http://www.world-mysteries.com/marijuana1.htm

Dust if you must. Ashtar and Man

Ok, so I read this today as I follow these kinds of things, and I assuming some of you folks do as well...and after reading it, I found that I had yet another perspective on it that was sent to me also. Just thought I would share both! Hope it helps dome of you in some kind of way!I particularly draw your attention to these remarks from Ashtar lastevening, which relate to what we've been discussing:"Every light worker on planet Earth has some house-cleaning to do. ."The energetic healing methods are long lasting and quick to take effect andthe way to clear it out. But before you clear it, be sure you transmute it.Angels and beings who are there; call upon them to be of assistance."Pick the method you choose to use and trust it. You have to trust it.Ask some questions and make sure you are using the one that will work foryou because you will allow it to work. If something doesn't work, maybe youhave disallowed it to work. Take care of yourself. ."This is the time to really be calling in the merry maids of energy work. The more you clean up whatever there is, karmic baggage, the more clarityyou will have and the more you will be able to move ahead with, shall wesay, a leadership kind of pace. You are all here to be leaders in somemanner."Whether it be teachers, technologists, everybody has a purpose; that's whyyou volunteered to be here. The time for preparation is now. Here's aclue. There isn't much time for preparation as you measure it. Yes, thehands of the clock are moving faster and faster and you all know thatanyway."So, whereas you think you might have an hour, you have a half hour or less. That makes it all the more important and urgent to get on with the housecleaning and stay with it."Notice: "The more you clean up . the more you will be able to move aheadwith . a leadership kind of pace." A leadership kind of pace. Not tied downdealing with our immature reactions from the past; not self-fixated; notfearful. Unencumbered, flowing, easeful. And this: "You are all here to be leaders in some manner" Our being here isour act of pre-selection.And finally this: "There isn't much time for preparation as you measure it."The time approaches. Are we ready? This same message is coming from St. Germain, Kuthumi, Michael, SeLuSa,Diane, Lisa Renee, Lauren Gorgo, etc.I trust the method taught by Sri Ramana, Adya, Eckhart, and others: Be withyour experience and observe what arises, without reacting in any way. That's my favourite method of house-cleaning.I'm watching one of my favourite movies, Allegria by Cirque de Soleil. It'sthe end of the movie, which is an extended metaphor for our times, and, thestory is so touching, I'm crying. What is significant about that?I'm using this bout of weeping as I often do - to clean from the inside out.I'm squeezing every tear out of me. The action of crying loosens up themuscles and allows more unfinished business to come to the surface, to beexperienced through and let go of. This is one of my ways of what Ashtarcalls house-cleaning.When bodily tension goes down, awareness goes up. Releasing tension in themuscles through activities like crying, laughing, shouting, screaming in thecar, etc., will release our awareness.Yesterday I left a bag on the bus. I had to look closely to see what thetruth was of the strong feeling that surfaced. I hadn't experienced itrecently. I'd been thinking it was "shame" or "guilt," but these did notfit.I finally found a name that did: "regret." The minute I named it, there wasa return of congruence to my experience. Knowing the truth of that feelinghad set me free from it as an upset.(Remember that, normally, we seldom give our attention to feelings in theway I'm describing. We take the whole process for granted, processingnothing. Hence we just keep adding to what Ashtar calls our "karmicbaggage.)I welcomed regret and listened to the message it carried. I saw so much Iregretted in my life and watched the images and their accompying feelingsarise and pass away.I created space between myself and those rising images and feelings. I wasthe observer. My mission was to complete them - to "houseclean" - byallowing them to rise in my mind, be experienced through, and thendisappear.Don't overlook any everyday experience for an opportunity to house-clean, tobecome squeaky clean, ready to report for duty when the right momentarrives.and then, there is this point of view. Which resonates with you?My Friends, Remember... a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.'A house becomes a home' when you can write 'I love you' on the furniture.'I used to spend at least 8 hours every weekend making sure things were just perfect- 'in case someone came over'Finally I realized one day that no-one came over;they were all out living life and having fun!NOW, when people visit, I don't have to explain the 'condition' of my homeThey are more interested in hearing about the things I've been doing while I was away living life and having fun.If you haven't figured this out yet, please heed this advice:Life is short. Enjoy it!Dust if you must .......but wouldn't it be betterto paint a picture or write a letter, bake cookies or a cake and lick the spoonor plant a seed, ponder the difference between want and need?Dust if you must, but there's not much time ....with coffee to drink, rivers to swim and mountains to climb, music to hear and books to read, friends to cherish and life to lead.Dust if you must, but the world's out therewith the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair,a flutter of snow, a shower of rain. This day will not come around, again.Dust if you must , but bear in mind, old age will come and it's not kind. .And when you go - and go you must- you, yourself will make more dust!Share this with all the wonderful people in your life..I JUST DID.It's not what you gather, but what you scatterthat tells what kind of life you have lived.

Wanna YIGATATE with me?

You know its odd.I have been reading A LOT lately. For a while I was in a lull, over the channel's, over the bla bla bla , I'm sure you know what I mean.I have trusted I get what I need to know when I need to know it.. That's sort of how I have gone through life.... Lucky for me I have recognized magic when I see it.Yes I believe in my guides around me, yes I believe in beauty when I see it. Yes I believe in time lines, or lack of I guess I should say... I recognize the here , now, then, will be, Que Sara....The earlier part of the day, I was just feeling a nudge to write...Promptly ignored on my part... It kept needling me of course... so then, of course I went blank... which led me to the thought of, " aint that a bitch, all those times I thought something would be good to write about, and now I can think of anything".: Typical.... Im sure you've had those days...So anyhow, a couple things have stuck in my mind in all the reading I have done....One was, May is suppose to be a kick ass month with energy flow...and the other was a just ask yourself kind of thing... ie. What have you done to uplift man and mother earth today?I think thats the one that bugged me... Of course now that gets my brain thinking... well geee, I um, played on the computer today, at least that's what some would call it... but, after I thought through the night, I realized what I did while "playing" made me very happy.I shared a joke, I quoted a quote, I shared a little piece of man showing his true colors singing a song around the world... I said hello to truly unknown beings in so called 3d, yet I call them my friends and I'm happy to see them and pinch there bum!To save you a lot of 9 yards to get a foot, Ill try and get to where I have arrived at this point and time of night!I don't know about you folks, but for me, music has been a really prevalent thing for me lately...Music has always been magic for me, I know what it is to feel the wood and tickle the ivories (no pun intended there)., but alas something that has slipped passed...I read another thing, read this poem...one of those make sure you share your love when your Friend today, they may be gone tomorrow kinda emails...... which again brings me back to what did I contribute today?Well, this is my contribution...This is probably as close as I can get to showing you me, and perhaps you, which perhaps from what I have learned is me, you, us, as well.If I could show a friend my soul, show them beauty, show them love, show them the cosmos. show them what I feel, show them my story... this is probably about as close as I could get...and if I happened to pass tomorrow, I'd be pretty happy with this.... I hope you enjoy my journey...This is a play list of mostly Enigma, but others mixed in... I tired to create a movie of my mind, the beauty I DO see around me. I highly suggest if your going to take this trip with me, you can set aside some time to mediate. That's suppose to be important these days yano! These is very trance, but it what I resonate with. Visual is always better I think, trust me, if you can watch this your mind will travel!Welcome to my world and my contribution!YIGS MIND a PLAYLIST FOR THE SOULonce you get there, just click "play all videos," near the top right, and relax.. and enjoy my journey with you my friend... always...ps Yigatate, a yig form of meditation!.
