There's a need today, I think, for discernment and oftentimes what it boils down to is a need for us to assess which sources we rely on are credible and which not. I'd like to make some personal remarks on the subject.

Before I do, however, I'd like to discuss why discernment or discrimination is so important in our lives. In fact, one spiritual teacher once said that it's the entire reason for our physical births: “Lose discrimination, and you miss life's only purpose.” (1)

Why is developing discernment “life's only purpose”? What is the purpose of life?

The purpose of life, as far as I can see it, is to rise from unconscious awareness to conscious awareness of our true identity as children of God and, in the end, as God Itself. The purpose of life is to realize our true identity, our original nature.

In my view, God created life so that the Formless One, which lacks a second, could experience itself. When one of Its created life forms experiences It in a moment of enlightenment, God meets God. For me, this is why the celestial group, the Heavenly Host, say that: “[Life] is all just experience to satisfy the Creator's desire to experience Itself through Its creations.” (2)

Viewed from this angle, as Kuthumi once said, “life is in fact just a game” and when we recognize that “then, my precious ones, you are truly free.” (3)

But, game or not, we're called upon to wake up more and more, learn more and more, until we return to God again in a moment of realization, as SaLuSa reminds us:

“You will never stop learning as you make your way through the higher dimensions ... until you reach the Source.” (4)

“Your quest for knowledge and the truth can never really be satisfied until you reach the ultimate – The Source of All That Is.” (5)

“All souls at Matthew’s station are highly-spiritually evolved, and as their spokesperson, he relays their unified feelings about souls on Earth. They love all equally and send healing light to all. They are able to honor all people as parts of God and separate that from their ungodly thoughts and actions.” (7)

Of the galactics, SaLuSa said:

“I am SaLuSa from Sirius, and wish you to know that as members of the Galactic Federation we are enlightened Beings, and our relationship to you is based upon our love for you.” (8)

“At our dimensional level we have long overcome the need for karma and if we make the wrong choices we recognize them and make amends immediately. For us personal relationships are based on love and respect for each other. We recognize our Oneness with all that is, and acknowledge the divine essence that all life carries.” (9)

“The dark Ones do not want you to know of the opportunity to leave the cycle of duality. They would rather depict the end as the Armageddon, playing on the death and destruction associated with it. In fact they planned events to coincide with the prophecies, to frighten people into believing in the end of the World. Fear not, Dear Ones, as we will ensure that it is as easy as it can be made, and life will continue according to your freewill and well into the future.” (14)

And Matthew Ward has said:

“Although we hope that none of you is apprehensive about the recent predictions of cataclysms, we shall tell you that there will be no 1000-foot tsunami; no celestial bodies will collide with Earth; radiation from Japan’s Fukushima nuclear plant will not cause population extinction; no plague will annihilate most of the world’s peoples; living underground will not be necessary; the fight for freedom in Arab countries will not ignite WWIII. Your desires that none of those will occur are added to Earth’s intention that they will not, and the energy produced in the collective consciousness assures that none of those devastating events can be manifested.” (15)

And Sanat Kumara, the “Ancient of Days,” who has Ascension under his purview, has said:

“There will be no Armageddon. There will be no great and all powerful destruction of your planet. Through the love and the outpouring of support in the heart of you, humanity, you will make the transition into the higher realms with as much ease and grace, as each of you decide will be your reality.” (16)

(6) The galactics don't speak in terms of "sides," competition, “us against them,” win/lose, etc.

The galactics don't take sides. They see everyone as One. They know that everyone is on a journey from God to God. They have as much love for the dark as for lightworkers. They see no difference, just people at different stages of understanding. But they see all as God's children, worthy of love and respect. And they work for the benefit of all rather than one side against another, even in their “battle” against the dark.

(7) The galactics don't view time as an important consideration in our individual Ascension.

The galactics know that people will, and are allowed to, evolve at their own speed and at a time of their own choosing. They plan to be as compassionate to those who choose not to ascend as to those who choose to. So if any source says that there is a need for people to ascend, that's a 3D perspective and not a 5D one.

Of course the galactics would want everyone to enjoy the bliss of Ascension, but they also respect the right of each person to choose their own course of action and destiny.

(8) The galactics seldom speak in absolutes.

The galactics seldom use words like “never,” “always,” “must,” etc. At their level of existence, reality is more plastic than on ours. They seem to know much more about exceptions, alternatives, etc., than we do. Diane of Sirius seems in part to be referring to this when she says:

"For many people your reality seems quite solid and dependable, and you feel bound by its parameters. Yet it is in actuality fluid and changeable being subject to your mass consciousness." (17)

The galactics seem to be less inclined to be rigid about their views. Adamu seems also to be trying to convey this point when he says, and I quote at length:

"There are many, truths. They all depend on your perspective and your choices. There are not so very many absolute truths. You see Prime Creator, as I can discern such things, desires for there to be unbounded expression. Infinite and unending creativity expressing Itself in infinite ways. Creating a TRUTH that is absolute and unbending would mean that that infinity is suddenly bounded. There is a place or a way in which LIFE may not express itself. As soon as you do that then it is not infinite or unbounded. It is finite and bounded. And that would collapse all of infinite reality… it would cease to exist. ...

"There is only one absolute truth and that is: Consciousness IS. Everything else is created and is therefore flexible and subject to change, to re-creation or to being created differently elsewhere. If you and I want to create together we might choose some consensual rules for our creations. In so doing we create for our creations some absolute truths. And as long as beings play inside our creation they will have to abide by those absolute truths. But the second they choose to leave our creation they find those truths are not absolute. They are temporal. They are a frame for the creation." (18)

It's usually Third-Dimensional beings who make absolute statements or claims to total or complete knowledge, etc. Fifth-Dimensional beings often are much more aware than we of what they don't know and how the mysteries of the Universe are often unknowable. So I tend to shy away from people making claims to absolute knowledge.

Having said that, I'm aware that many galactics speak of the ascended state as “full consciousness.” Compared to our state, it is much fuller. But I think they're as much aware as we are that consciousness is not “full” until we merge again with God.

Those are just some of the signs that can be used to distinguish between a 5D galactic and someone who is simply posing as one.

Given what's said above, I think we cannot escape the need for discrimination at any time in our lives. Time given to sharpening our discrimination is therefore time well spent.

Folks, there's a blog on Ashtar Command that says that presenting objective evidence of ET visitation is no longer Galactic Federation of Light policy.

The following statements are made:

"All untrained ET contactees face the dilemma of, 'should I or shouldn't I present my proof to the world...!' ..."

"So currently, the GFL policy has been revised...the presentation of objective data to a low consciousness world is futile, as the establishment and ignorant members of the public WILL NEVER BELIEVE IT...."

"ET policy has changed since the 1970s, at an experimental time when a concerted effort was made to glean and present objective evidence, which was nevertheless largely dismissed as fradulent, in spite of professional endorsements by individual scientists. The establishment will always suppress dissent. The same applies to airline pilots who see UFOs...They are told not to rock the boat, to keep quiet, or forefit [sic] their careers in aviation. Facts are often hated by the closed-minded and even objective proof is thrown back into the provider's face, if it challenges comfort zones." (1)

These statements do not reflect the reality of the situation.

I wrote a comment to that effect to the blogger on the subject but it was taken down. So I now write an article on the matter for your discernment.

Let's look at what credible representatives of the GFL say about whether they are showing their ships and whether they want these sightings to be publicized.

Here is Hatonn, director of interdimensional communications for the GFL, speaking directly to the author through Suzy Ward, Mathew Ward's mother on Oct. 16, 2010:

"Steve, this is Hatonn.  You are being very conscientious about presenting accurate information — thank you.  We need more sane voices like yours to offset the pure hogwash that’s circulating. Yes, of course there were ships over New York City that day.  We’re showing up there and many other places all around Earth. As Suzy wrote you before, this is part of ramping up our activity to hasten the time when we’re officially recognized." (2)

SaLuSa of Sirius, spokesman for the GFL, said in May of 2011 that "the more that is known about us, the easier it will be to obtain a general acceptance of our presence. We can then organise the many changes that must take place without further delay."  (3) He states that the GFL welcomes discussion of their ships on the Internet:

"We welcome your attention and efforts to see our craft, as by intention we have progressively increased the number of sightings within your atmosphere. Our very large Motherships keep well outside of it, as they would cause some disruption because of their size. We are busy maintaining a level of observation that ensures your security, as the dark Ones still plot actions against you and indeed also us." (4)

Here he is on another occasion in May saying much the same thing:

"There are numerous websites on your Internet where you can indulge yourselves in facts about our craft, and these are supported by photographs and even videos. Whether we exist is no longer the question as we have made contact with every major government.

"We want to open up the whole subject, and thus allow debate and discussion as to what has been taking place over the last century. Governments will have to come clean with regard to their own part in suppressing information about us. They will also have to admit to their activities under the guise of allowing their craft to be taken as ours, or groups such as the Greys.

"It is obvious to any intelligent person that our Mothercraft have not originated from Earth. They are in some cases of such massive size, being several miles long it is common sense that they are coming from other civilisations. There is also the question of the sheer numbers of craft that have been seen on some occasions.

"When you can count around a hundred or more as per the sighting recently in Mexico, you will know for certain that their origin is not from the Earth. The evidence of our presence is so obvious; yet generally speaking your media still hides the truth. We are pleased to say that this situation will not remain the same for much longer. There are many aspects before our appearance that need to come out to prepare people for it." (5)

Here SaLuSa again describes how delighted the GFL is that people are seeing their ships in April 2011:

"Continual reports of our sightings occur on a daily basis. It is no longer possible to deny our existence, as the evidence is mounting for it and more of you have had direct contact. This will most likely happen where you have incarnated upon Earth from one of the civilisations directly involved with you. Such souls invariably feel a strong connection with us, and easily accept the role we are playing in your evolution. We are the way forward by your invitation and also the divine edict that calls for the end of duality. So you will see that nothing will prolong the current experiences for much longer, and as the Light descends upon Earth the changes will be accelerated." (6)

Here is Wanderer of the Skies, representing the GFL, also making a similar comment in May of  2011:

"Expect several major displays of multiple hundreds of 'lighted orb' type sightings in several major cities across Europe and North and Central America in the next several weeks. We are “testing” several appearance patterns we intend to use after hard disclosure and this is in preparation for that. …

"We have reopened our discussions in our own councils on our own disclosure of photos and videos of our various species to you, but again no consensus has been achieved. We will continue to push for such a resolution as we deem it imperative to the overall process. (7)

Here is the Arcturian Group speaking through Marilyn Raffaele in April of this year:

"It will not be long before you will see the ships of those who would help you. Many of you see them now, but there are still those who live in denial and fear for such an idea as extraterrestrial beings.  Many still believe everything they are told, and will need you to gently educate them as you see them become open to it.  It is going to happen dear ones, so be ready for it and do not go into fear and trepidation or fall back into the old beliefs about such things." (8)

So the statements that the GFL has abandoned decloakings and sightings, that objective evidence is not the way they are going, and that the presentation of facts is not GFL policy are not indicative of the situation according to the GFL itself. In fact they are polar opposite to what the bulk of channeled messages from the GFR say.

This is an amazing time to be alive.  But what is it that makes it so? What in the world is happening on the planet? For the sake of those who are awakening now to the fact that something unusual is going on, can we arrive at a succinct statement of it?

Yes, I think such a statement can be made.

We are living through a period that is unlike very many others in the history of the Earth. Every so often - and different people give different time spans - one age ends on Earth and another begins, bringing with it an opportunity for people to leave the environment they're in, return to whence they came, and advance in the evolutionary spiral. And this is one of those times.

If you are a westerner, you might say that the Piscean Age is ending and the Aquarian Age beginning. An easterner might say that the Kali Yuga is ending and the Sat Yuga beginning. A Mayan might say that the Mayan calendar has reached its end and an entirely new age is approaching.

Whatever measurement of time you use, we have reached the end of the period in which we live in a particular form of separation called "duality" and we are invited to return to a world where "unity" reigns.

I personally am familiar with discussions of these events that go back to at least the 1870s, with the spirit writings of one "Imperator" through the Rev. Stainton Moses of England. However I'm sure earlier accounts can be found because this step in our evolution has been apparently planned for a long, long time.

We here on Earth have been kept in the dark about a lot of things. The existence of spirit realms has been pooh-poohed or sensationalized. The existence of different human civilizations in other parts of the universe has been ridiculed or kept under wraps. I cannot help the fact that such knowledge has been kept from us. But now it is time to put aside the ridicule and acknowledge that both spirit realms and galactic civilizations exist.

The leadership among these two groups, all of whom are well aware of such matters as the existence of God, divine law, the purpose of life, and the orderliness of existence, have been working together to arrange for the smooth out-working of this end-of-cycle advancement.

The spiritual hierarchy that is responsible for the evolution of life here on Earth has asked the assistance of space nations who seeded the Earth with the human form in the first place to come and lend assistance to us to effect this planetary transformation scheduled for  2012. They have agreed and have sent their people in abundance in ships of superior technology that remain cloaked around our Earth.

These advanced, peaceful and God-loving people from superior civilizations have assisted us in many ways and are working so far  behind the scenes to clear the way for what is commonly referred to as "Ascension."

In our case, we'll advance from the Third Dimension of duality to the Fourth Dimension briefly and then to the Fifth Dimension of unity on or before Dec. 21, 2012. This advance is no different than attaining the Fourth-Dimensional Astral Plane after death and then later the Fifth-Dimensional Mental Plane, except that in our present case we move forward with our physical bodies. This "ascension" in the physical body is a new development in spiritual evolution.

Our space family has seen to it that no more nuclear weapons can be exploded on the planet or in space. Perhaps we've read news reports from people like the Hastings Panel who've said that they're aware that galactics interfere with attempts to use nuclear missiles. They've cleaned up after us, as far as they can from their ships, when we spill oil into the Gulf of Mexico or dump depleted uranium into the atmosphere or have nuclear accidents at power plants.

They've mitigated severe weather, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.  And they perform a wide range of other beneficent and compassionate tasks all aimed at preparing the ground for the events that are to follow.

At some point, when we're ready for it, Earth's own governmental leaders will introduce us to the spiritual hierarchy and galactic fleet that are already here, in an event commonly known as "disclosure." After that, the galactics will land among us and begin the work of restoring the Earth to pristine condition, returning peace to the world, providing abundance where before there had been only poverty and scarcity, and in many other ways preparing us for the global shift in 2012.

Meanwhile, as all of this is taking place, a coordinated effort that reaches far out into the universe and may reach into other dimensions is underway that is showering the Earth in a gradually increasing fashion with the divine energy of Love. This constant beaming of energy is causing all the unusual and unprecedented events we see around us in the world. The insistence of the Arab world on having their freedom restored to them is perhaps the most dramatic effect. But freedom's stirring is to be seen in other countries as well.

The malevolent forces of what we know as the military-industrial complex, Illuminati, secret state, or New World Order are being contained and defeated in their various plans to dominate the world.  Their control over the media, their financial subjugation of the planet, and their use of technologies to subvert our freedoms have all been rolled back through the efforts of the galactics and their Earth allies, who as yet operate mainly in secrecy.

The impact of the liberating energies is gradually increasing and will continue to do so, resulting in our experience of release from old attitudes and positions and the advent of new social patterns, new aspirations, and new alliances and cooperation that will in the end transform our world.  If we think back on how we felt a year ago and how we feel now, we can perhaps trace the steady increase in the energies of Love on Earth.

People are awakening and finding themselves curiously interested in whatever it is that seems to be happening on Earth. More and more sightings of galactic ships are taking place, over Jerusalem, New York City, Mexico City, Lima, Moscow, and so on.  Channeled messages from spirit guides and galactic teachers are flooding the Internet. All is abuzz and astir as the secret of what is happening on Planet Earth gets out.

And it will grow in every way as time progresses and we get nearer to the crescendo in 2012. There is no need to worry, even if the Earth must clear itself of some of its locked plates and stored negativity. There will be no Armageddon, no nuclear World War III,  no break-up of the planet, no worldwide flood, no planetary catastrophe of any kind, no matter who says so to the contrary.

We are headed for what is commonly thought of as a Golden Age, with health and youth restored to us, with the wisdom of masters ours, with peace and harmony returned to Earth. All the chaos and turmoil you see around you now is designed to clear the decks for this global transformation, this planetary shift to occur.

So that's about as succinct as I can make it, to cover all that is important but not in so much detail as to overwhelm you. We have a glorious future to look forward to, in which we meet many new friends and recover relationships with many old friends. The planet's history of want and neglect is soon to end and a new era of prosperity and abundance to begin.

There are many sources on the Internet that can tell you more of this story if you but search on 2012, Ascension, disclosure and similar terms. I welcome you to the knowledge of this Golden Age now approaching and know that the addition of your light, love, and energy will make a tremendous difference to the unfoldment of the whole.
