it depends many claim this and that. the Yang style that Wutan my school teaches is from the true yang style lineage there are 3 parts but thats purely so we can learn it put you have to practise the parts in order however I've looked at various books viedos & found them highly inaccurate. our sifu told us its very hard to find genuine tai chi as alot of them are to con people & to make money. but i wouldn't be able to tell you about your style without more info & photos etc.
