This book is an indepth study of Tantra through the eyes of the Aghori Vimalananda, the teacher and mentor of author Robert Svoboda. It touches upon various facets of the left handed path (Vama Marg) in Tantra. The Right hand path involves a search for the Ultimate reality via the external imposition of purity. The Left hand path however relies on its practitioners internal purity to protect them while they practice rituals which may involve necromancy, intoxicants, sex or other "forbidden" practices. Most serious aspirants automatically shun the left hand path because of its potential for misuse. which is very great. Aghora however is not indulgence, it is the forcible transformation of darkness into light, luminescence of the Absolute.
Vimalananda has a propensity to shock the reader throughout the book with his bold foray into words. This book is not for the faint hearted. Though if you read it with purity of the heart and a detached yet intuitive consciousness, many of life's mysteries will be revealed in the most beautiful manner. The most interesting subject he tackles is that of "Runanubandhana" or "Primal Debt" - Birth and Death and living in a womb, over and over again.
Nothing short of fantastic reading here... Hope to meet you on the other side of darkenss. :-)))
