Today I have been thinking about the idea of LET GOD GUIDE YOU and offer this in human terms. I say it that way because it is, after all, humans that I reach out to. "We" to mean all beings, all intellectual creatures who have freedom of choice and the ability to think for one's self. I have had my cage rattled before by those who were confused that I wrote in human terms, but please understand that I am not only of another level of consciousness, but am also in touch with your level of awareness and life. Those you are in Contact with would not be children of the same Great One Source, the God of all if those beings were not in the same spiritual boat as humankind. I do not overtake Lee's mind and thoughts, so her influences also dance among my words, my line of thinking. It was and is the whole idea behind the mixing of our peoples for educational value and understanding of how this Universe works, the Great Creation of our Divine Father, Mother being the different levels that we launch from. Your awareness and level currently being Mother Earth.
While we are creatures with freedom of choice, we are also beings who need to be guided. Guidance, reward and accolades feed the human soul, and keep humankind childlike even when grown. The thought of our parents and other people and elders we respect taking notice of our accomplishments, giving us guidance toward our goals and in life in general and understanding when we fall and don’t quit make the mark, is a lifelong feeling that never seems to go away.
God already gave us all his guidance in his word he shared with humankind. Most Christians know about his first two steps he gave us, redemption, and righteousness, but most have not picked up on sanctification in the Lord.
Sanctification is a progressive process. It does not happen instantaneously when we convert or accept God and his word. The work is progressive, done by the Holy Spirit over the course of our entire life.
In Philippians 2:12: Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,
What Paul is saying is that we need to work out our life, our progress through sanctification in the Lord, the process where God the Father begins to set us apart unto him and to transform us into becoming more holy instruments of righteousness for his use.
Yes, I said for his use. As your own children are the instrument of your desires for a good and loving life, of a continuance of you and your values, we are God’s children, who he has also placed all of his hopes, desires and longings upon our heads. Giving us his guidance and love to help us through the process of life, the process of sanctification.
In different Bible dictionaries and commentaries, they define the word of sanctification as: the state of growing in divine grace; to set apart for holy purposes; the process of being made holy resulting in a changed lifestyle for the believer.
We work within God’s grace to be sanctified by the believer being separated from sin and becomes dedicated to God’s righteousness. It is accomplished by the word of God and the Holy Spirit, sanctification results in holiness, or purification from the guilt and power of sin. Sanctification is instantaneous before God through Christ and progressive before man through obedience to the Holy Spirit and God’s word.
Study verses that explain this sanctification and you may find that God is giving his children on Earth this kind of supernatural work in your life that can dramatically change the quality of your life. You receive sanctification on Earth. You do not have to wait to receive it in Heaven.
Too often Christians must give in to the teasing and cajoling of others when they openly show their love of God. Our young people are being socially forced into sinful actions that are contrary to their Christian beliefs and they lose their way through association of bad acts and many never look back and get their lives and sanctifications back, however there is still hope. No matter your age, lot in life or position, you can still go to God and receive these rights he has promised you. When you fulfill your promises to him and accept his love and guidance, then all else will fall into place.
It is a large human trait to seek instant gratification and expect an instant change to wash over them once they begin their walk alongside God, accepting his ways. There have seemingly been such changes, however if you were to look at these stories, you may find that the process started long before the results fell into place. It does not have to be a big event that makes you desire the changes that sanctification and God’s holy word can bring. It can come to you in a simple whisper, in an action not expected or even in your everyday events, a change will take place and you will be uplifted and know that you are in the presence of our Holy Spirit, so don’t be disappointed or dismayed if your life does not have a sudden and severe change right away. Keep pledging to God and keep true to his word. Your changes will come, and you will be rewarded.
There are at least 100 verses in the Christian Bible that deal with sanctification. This is just one:2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
Lord, here I am before you once more. Asking you to help me leave the old behind and the new to reign as I change from one process of my life to the new. As I shed the old habits and accept my new path, renewed path. Give me guidance and your continued support. I am always your servant.
