Crowley rubbed elbows with Aldous Huxley, Alfred Adler, Roald Dahl, and Ian Fleming. After his death in 1947, his life and thought played a role in the work of William S. Burroughs, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Ozzy Osbourne, Robert Anton Wilson, Timothy Leary, Genesis P-Orridge, and countless others.

I was a resident astrologer and minerval degree initiate of O.T.O. for one month, and while I can say I liked reading Crowley's Equinox and his essays on astrology, it is my opinion that Crowley murdered innocent people, both in ritualistic and non-ritualistic manners.
And no, I don't believe Crowley's explanation of the human sacrifice (i.e. selection of a bright young boy to be the victim) in Magick In Theory And Practice was a satirical description of ejaculated sperm that has gone to waste after a man jacks off. He reportedly did knife young men, much like the money-addicted elite of today do at the "Thousand Points of Light" resort in western Europe (which has thankfully come under recent scrutiny, much like the Bohemian Grove resort in California).
