It's too bad that this initial discussion comment was formatted in the way it was as it impedes the natural and typical thought processes of a reader. As well, there are far too many points of topic to elicit favourable and constructive feedback and/or response. In earnst of gleaning the importance of the topic, I would agree that there are certain familial tendencies and behaviours that are re-written in each generation or every other generation. I have witnessed first hand a child that was given for adoption at birth that in adulthood many of her behaviours were much like her fathers, including a lilt and tilt of her head when in responding to someone in conversation.
What I hedge though, is that the interpretation of seeing such to be a deterant or detriment for anyone to achieve enlightenment. Instead, I would say that anyone noticing such familial tendencies that therein lies cues and clues to ones specific and unique puzzle pieces that might ABSOLUTELY provide them on the road to enlightenment! (Never say never!)
While it's fun and interesting to study ones geneology, I would not assume that one's geneology precludes ones journey towards enlightenment. Understanding ones family lineage may be important in understanding certain values, belief systems, and ways of being would be good for sure .. because through understanding these tendencies we then come to more answers to our own unique beingness.
While working towards a consciousness of Unity is on the agenda for this Creation, it cannot be done without being mindful with revelation and joy in discovering and exploring individuation and it's rhyme-full purpose. Clearly, our psychogeneology and individual psychology provides us with this unique opportunity for self-exploration, self-discovery, self-enjoyment and beingness that leads to Enlightenment.
