  Be sure to take timeout for yourself and treat yourself to something special -doesn't have to be anything of a monetary value, in fact, might just be to go sit under the shade of a tree for 5 minutes with a quiet mind.  For me personally, i love myself by making sure that every so often i immerse myself in our wild west coast surf and recharge my batteries that way.

  well, its definetly not something you learn to do in a day, I struglled with that before, i guess i was just very negative about myself, also i dint stick to what i believed, like i kinda changed my mind if it pleased others. Its so important that you respect yourself, dont insult yourself, you wouldnt do it to somone else so dont do it to yourself, you can only love yourself as much as you allow. follow your feelings always dont overthink things to much and always make your thoughts positive ones, whether of yourself or others. We are all one, by not loving yourself you are also denying love to everyone else. write down all your qualities and focus on them, youll be living with yourself forever so might as well appreciate your qualities. If your thinking that people are staring at you just remember that in the end they dont know you, you dont know them, if they are laughing or staring it doesnt matter cause chances are youll never see them again. And just for a boost there i read the things on your profile and you seem like a very cool guy and your also very cute :)  Love yourself above all, only then will you be able to trully love others :)

  Beautiful, try to re-member, reconnect your Self with your beautiful love source, go within the heart.... You are already loving yourself by acknowledging that you aren't honoring your truth! That you do not want to pretend to be someone you are not. And your inner self is happy and shinning through for you are seeking your truth, your true love-heart melody. Re-member how special, wonderful, brave, and loved you are by Spirit and the Universe. The Creator decided that without you the world was not perfect enough, so here you are, and you are precious! Honor that, Love. :)

  It’s nice to know that others feel the same way. I have self-image issues as well; I feel as though everyone  is watching me and judging my every move - I get so self-conscious and critical of all my actions. It was so bad at one point that all the mirrors in my room were covered up and I had thrown away all my pictures.

   

  I know these feelings have originated from my teenage years; I was overweight and had severe acne and some of my family members were really mean. In addition, I was not very academically intelligent. However, after getting into shape and having the body that I wanted and perfect skin, along with high marks in school, I felt the same. The insecurities were still there. I was really angry at the same time because the same people treated me completely differently when I looked good, so I withdrew myself from society and started this spiritual journey.

   

  The funny thing about the universe is that I am thrown into the spotlight constantly – the more I want to hide away, the more attention I get. I really had to change  my attitude, I don’t care what people think of me, as long as I am happy – and I don’t judge people on their appearance.

   

  It is a slow process and it is hard to admit. My adivce would to be yourself and take small steps to be social. Be around others, and if they don't like you, then it's their loss. Thinking positive thoughts for 1 minute in the morning helped me have a better day; just closing your eyes and saying 1 thing you like about yourself aloud and being greatful for it. I always get goosebumps/chills through my body when I do this.

  All is unconditional love. With are egoic mind we judge and this judgment is what make us not feel this infinite love for all forms, for our selves. Do not judge your self. Do not try to make your self for what your mind beilieves to be a better person. Know you are perfect just as your are. Take as much time as you can everyday to surrender judgment.To surrender the need to create. Just examine that which is. Look at your self and look around you my brother. Just look and feel. Know this wholesome eternal moment as you. Simply just be and you will feel this infinite love for your self and all.

  Does anybody have any advice on where to start?

  Compassion is the highest frequency in creation and with it you can create new realities or change existing ones!
