from what i seen on the news the asteroid was traveling in excess of 33000 miles per hour, one would assume that would make a fairly difficult target to hit / chase.
i am looking at the film and i DO NOT SEE a exhaust trail on the craft tail end like most of our tools of mankind. maybe my eyes are playing games with me!!!!!

does anybody figure out the speed the meteor was going, and the speed the our space families craft was to CATCH UP AND HIT THE METEOR. what something like mach10 or so, do not know.!!!!!

UNTRUE!.. if you watch closely at .07 secs you can clearly see this bright object come in at almost ground level..just above the tree line and intercept the "object". It is a missile defense system. s300

in a couple other vids you can see the "object" was also struck twice from above..when the "object" was at a higher altitude. all Russian missile defenses!
