  You should be proud of your Choices.

  You should be proud of your Accomplishments.  
  
  But proud of a race?  No.

  
  What did you to to have lighter skin?  Nothing.... lol :)
  
  You should be recognized for your merits, and what you are inside, your outer skin is just genetics.  
  
  That's really nothing to be proud of in my opinion.
  
  Besides, this body is nothing compared to what we really ARE in reality, you have to look at yourself and the world with better eyes than that.

      I got a lot of my answer there from Bill Maher (although I always felt that too).
      
      He had done a skit a while back, and it rang so true to me.
