This is a little ditty that's been playing in my head--nothing deep..but fun!

There are times when the veil is heavy and murky,

When we are capricious, unaware, and unsure.

Sometimes our perceptions are a bit quirky

But the wind shifts...

   The veil lifts…

     We see existence so pure.

It’s so easy to see the silver

When our world shimmers with speckles of gold

But experience tells us to dig deeper

To see these elements unfold

So when your eyes get a little bit weepy

And your silver has turned to gray…

Do this—CHOOSE BLISS

Among sorrow and pain

And you’ll be well upon your way.

Of course we can’t always be ecstatic

(We can’t always be the sun’s ray)

Sometimes things get a little bit gloomy

Hold tight—these feelings will soon sway.

Don’t pity yourself for feeling sorrow

For this is a natural thing

Rather than dejection and guilt

Do this—CHOOSE BLISS

And you will be glad to see a new day

I may seem a little bit giddy

And perhaps a little naïve

But I’m just drawing attention

To that little card up under your sleeve.

It is not the queen of diamonds,

The joker or jack of spades

The queen of hearts will help you plenty

When darkness clenches your days

Go in nature, be in love

Soothe and nurture your soul

Go within and pour it all out

Do this—CHOOSE BLISS

Turn your ears in

And remove all of your doubt
