good morning.  there is a web site that has lovely pictures of the mountains taken by amature photographers.  they post one each day or have a live webcam shot of somewhere up there.  here is one that was taken of a sunset from the top of grandfather mountain.  and if you would like to follow some of these shots yourself, the website is called "ray's weather."  you should go check it out to get a mountain fix.  enjoy the sunset..........

ashevill is a wonderful place.  i grew up in raleigh but went to school in boone.  and that's where my oldest son is in school.  if i had the money, i'd move to black mountain.  that's about 20 mins. east of asheville, but it's a small, artsy-fartsy little town.

my ex-husband is from new york and he once told me that he thought i was like scarlette o'hara. . . she got her energy from "the red earth of tara" and i get my energy from the mountains.  hot springs is another wonderful place just off the appalachian trail.  it's about 40 mins. nw of asheville on the french broad river. they have natural hot springs there and it was always a sacred place to the indians.  there is a place there called paint rock.  it has a lovely petroglyph there high up on this rock outcropping.  it is fading fast but, if you know where to look, you can see the design of what looks like a red maze.  very special energy.  when i'm on my home computer, i will post a few pictures.

sounds like you have your work cut out for you there in atlanta.  i will light a candle and send you a little extra energy tonight.  in lak'ech.

atlanta is a fun city.  i have been dying to get down there to the aquarium, but haven't been able to pull it off yet.  i have a very dear friend from college who lives down there and i used to go visit fairly regularly.  not so much any more unfortunately.  i was born and raised in n.c.  i love fall, winter and spring, but can't stand the summer humidity.  

it will be fun getting to know you better.

welcome mikey!  it's nice to have another sountherner here.  were you born and raised in the south or did you just get here ask quickly as you could?  lol

i believe i am some sort of "wayseer" for my youngest son, who is an all-in-your-face kinda indigo kid.  so it's great to meet you.  i may have to pick your brain sometimes about indigos (and all the other good stuff too).  so, it's nice to meet you.
