Your method(s) of truth discernment...... are you being lied to?

Share your method(s) of internal reality checking, truth verification. (please be specific as you can, so others may learn)

There was a time all new agers-flower children were seen as gullible dreamers, ungrounded in reality, willing to accept most anything.

I must admit, some members-discussions here make my BS warning go off.

However this site IS far more adventurous than many I've visited in the past.

There was a time I could easily sense if someone was deceiving me but it's not as easy now, as the mass of input increases... and most communication is not in person.

I seem to have the ability to sense potentials that many others I've met in person, don't ... but just because something is very likely doable (in the future) (or in another parallel universe) doesn't mean it's gonna happen tomorrow.

Not talking about ascension or 2012 predictions..... but rather human potentials -abilities.

I've heard that a few Chinese kids ("superpsychics") have walked through walls , and many, many have done some less spectacular "psychic" feats...

Well , Yogananda, in autobiography of a yogi, describes Indian saints who bilocate, teleport, manifest matter, cure all sorts of sickness, live with virtually no food-water.....things advanced yogi saints have known for eons.... SO why not a 12 yr old...

If feel most anything is possible.... (OK Superman or Dr Manhatten, X Men) feats are (at the moment) not too likely. At least in 3D reality.

ANYWAY ...... how do YOU discern when you're being deceived. In person or in writing. (skeptics need not reply, as I'm not looking for a debate) nor am I talking about logical faculties.

But rather, truth SENSING.

your so not taking the time to research and learn and grow ,you just run round being all hyper critical it seems ,no one knows everything enough to judge others.

so i was shall we say meditating and focused on a target, it was a Rodin coil in Hawaii wound in a star pattern , tuned to a specific frequency more to it but basically projected through it and came out in a TR3B and went for a joy ride and felt i would send it home alone perhaps ,all wile physically here at home ,i stoped doing things like that the next day when this came out, Disclosure Imminent? Two Underground NWO Bases Destroyed

so hay ,whatever.

i read some thing today .it said ,"Do not try to get even with those who hurt you rather it is best to try to get even with those who help you " I supose i should take that to heart

Yeah really, it may not be possible to prove that I Have made it extra cold these past 2 years (well not this year, but 2009 and 2010).

But what if I really was responsible...

Its not like it can be disproven either, since all the work was done in my Mind and Spiritually. Nobody would even Know it was me unless they really looked into it from a non-physical perspective.

At the very least I caused the May 8th 2009 storm that hit my region (which I have already come to terms with and made amends for).

They called it an Inland hurricane, a Derecho, with straightline winds over 100 mph. You can google it if you want.

The eye of the storm went right over my hometown... and I happened to miss it completely because when it hit I was in the basement of a university building sleeping (I had a long night and was very tired so slept on a couch in the basement lounge area - which happens to be heavily rienforced and was originally designed to be a Fallout shelter back in the 60's).

The day before... I was watching the Weather Channel and they were talking about Derechos... which I thought was such an awesome an interesting concept I immediately shouted:

"Wow that's so cool, id really love to see one of those!"

(19 hours later one hit us, but I didn't actually See it, just the damage it left behind)

If I could do that by accident, just imagine what I could do on purpose. And that was my thinking after that point too - - which caused me to turn my thoughts toward creating changes that were helpful somehow.

And its not like I am just limited to the weather... either...

I had hoped folks would share personal experience rather than debate theories they've read or fight over who is right- most aware.

Wars have been waged over similar issues.... (whose truth is valid).

There are lots of ways to bake a cake or discover one's truth.

Highly respected-enlightened spiritual teachers have diverse ways of expessing-interpreting the same source truth.... and while dialogue is useful , name calling-accusations get us no where....what works for one may seem rubbish to another.

Take what you can use and let it be.... I'm glad this topic was found useful,,,,

I haven't a lot more to offer but will glean what I can from those who contribute, Some quite interesting events - possibilities have been raised,

This is the forum to safely share experiences we might hesitate expressing elsewhere. and I appreciate the candor.

Awesome insight - love the exchange of dialogue and shared experiences highlighted here from individuals perspective to get to the get to the Truth - for me the Truth is what it means to me and only me how ever I may choose to "verify" the source. I am ok with individuals also expressing "doubt and validity of others methods" wanting to debate as see it as an opportunity for those individuals to learn too and for me as long as we are open to the learning of the differences that are shared...:-)

You expressed just what I was now thinking....

If this turns into a debate or Egofest ,,, others may be hesitant to share valuable, personal insight-information.

We all wanna be right, but please honor the spirit of sincere sharing,,,without attacking others, or turning this into a personal blog.

You never know.... that new, insecure and somewhat shy member may have insights YOU may benefit from.

And he-she may feel intimidated by argument.

Even I get drawn into debate.. but perhaps this thread isn't the ideal time-place... if we really want to hear what others have to offer. Try to be kind.

I forgot to share one other technique I use in my discernment. I will sometimes follow up information I receive with one of my very trusted guides that has been with me for quite awhile. I am familiar and very comfortable with one guide in particular and I have been known to verify information through this guide if I'm still not sure. I also agree with several others who have commented on the original question you posed about following what you feel to be true in your heart.

Well if I may share a 2nd party story ..... Drunvalo, who is now regarded as a world teacher by many, has 2 angels who he confers with to verify things or get permission for new projects. He says they are aspects of himself, that he's learned over the years to trust implicitely.

I don't hear this too often and it seems like a wonderful asset.

What you say seems like a lovely gift .... I'm envious. of your perception and thanx for sharing.

I also wondered how many of us re-examine our belief system (ever) and appreciate this suggestion.

My belief system is rather in flux, as I'm curious what others have discovered, and love learning....BUT we all have our blind spots and resistance to change ....

Empirical truth is relative, IMO .... at least the understanding of it certainly is....(science is a prime example of this) and very prone to tunnel vision.

Anyway thanx for all the input.
