Science and Cosmology in the Urantia Book. The following are implausible scientific positions and predictions that are now accepted by contemporary scientists:
1) "Piltdown Man" - The 1912 & 1917 "missing link" fossils, a hoax finally exposed and discredited after 1950 [Har03]. Almost all scientists in the field were fooled including William Gregory and Henry Osborn, who was the Urantia Book's main human source for prehistoric man [Blo05].

Continents float on liquid rock; allowed "continental drift". Only a few geologists (< 5%) defended Wegener's theory of continental drift until the 1950's. So the probability of randomly choosing their position is less than 1/20. But the UB embraces it. [p.663]
3) Plate Tectonics. Collisions of continents with obstructions cause mountains; shifting now causes earthquakes; periodic submergence continues. [p.688-9] Since these were not the expressed positions of most contemporary scientists, the probability of randomly choosing these positions is rather generously estimated to be as much as 1/2.
4) Injury Repair Cell Proliferation.. As late as 2001 Dr. Emilio Orfei, Department of Pathology, Loyola University of Chicago, wrote that the injury response is still not understood and may be humoral, something the Urantia Book said in 1955. [Orf01] [UB, p.735] A correct description of this injury repair mechanism was unknown in 1955. The probability that some correct human description written before 1955 was somehow chosen by human authors of the UB is generously estimated to be as much as 1/50.
5) Hundreds of Millions of Galaxies. New cosmic maps of the whole universe are now confirming the bold cosmic predictions made by the Urantia Book before 1955: "No less than 375 million" galaxies in far outer space. [p.130] Only in the 1990's did our scientists confirm what the Urantia Book said in 1955. [Wor97] Large scale ring structures separated by "voids" predicted to circle in the plane of the Milky Way. [p.125] The probability of there being some correct human description before 1955 which somehow was chosen by human authors is generously estimated at less than 1/100.
6) Large scale structures. In the 1980's, expecting randomness astronomers were surprised to see "large scale structures", "walls of galaxies", separated by huge voids, walls that may circle the Local Group (Grand Universe) including the Milky Way (Orvonton). [Cor90; UB,p.129]. No prominent astronomers were predicting non-randomly spaced galaxies in far outer space. The probability of human authors correctly guessing this is again generously estimated to be no more than 1/100.
7) Huge Redshifts. Before they were observed, the Urantia Book predicted huge redshifts equivalent to recessional speeds of "more than thirty thousand miles a second", (but it also instructs that this does not mean the universe is flying apart) [p.134]. In data provided by Allan Sandage at Mt. Wilson and Las Campanas Observatories [Rot99] the Hydra galaxy is now estimated to have a recessional speed of 61,000 km/sec = (61,000 /1.609) miles/sec = 37,900 miles/sec, which would be more than 1/5 the speed of light! Although Hubble discovered that the amount of redshift is linearly related to distance, such large redshifts as described by the UB were not seen until new telescopes revealed them, just as the UB predicted. Few if any scientists were predicting such large redshifts would soon be seen with better telescopes. They might have been wondering. The Urantia Book flatly makes a quantitatively accurate prediction even while disputing the predictable interpretation of such huge red shifts as supposedly indicating an explosive "big bang" occurred. Estimated probability of human authors making the prediction is no more than 1/5.
8) Dark Matter Holds the Universe Together. That dark matter holds luminous bodies together was first noticed in 1970's. Wikipedia [Wik05], the free encyclopedia tells us, "In the 1970s it was realized that the total visible mass of galaxies (from stars and gas) does not properly account for the speed of the rotating gas, thus leading to the postulation of dark matter." But The UB said this already in 1955. [p.173] The probability of human authors taking this position is very generously estimated to be as much as 1/5. Actually, very few if any scientists were saying anything like this back in 1955.

What I am talking about is this kind of similarity: In Vedas Brahmanism was truly one of the most noble reaches of the mortal mind into the domains of philosophy and metaphysics. Also The karma principle of causality continuity is, again, very close to the truth of the repercussional synthesis of all time-space actions in the Deity presence of the Supreme Being; but this postulate never provided for the co-ordinate personal attainment of Deity by the individual religion, only for the ultimate engulfment of all personality by the Universal Oversoul. The philosophy of Brahmanism also came very near to the realization of the indwelling of the Thought Adjusters. The teaching that the soul is the indwelling of the Brahman would have paved the way for an advanced religion had not this concept been completely vitiated by the belief that there is no human individuality apart from this indwelling of the Universal One.

another one is Zoroastrianism: Zoroaster: He had learned of the story of the Seven Master Spirits as the tradition lingered in Ur, and, accordingly, he created a galaxy of seven supreme gods with Ahura-Mazda at its head. These subordinate gods he associated with the idealization of Right Law, Good Thought, Noble Government, Holy Character, Health, and Immortality. Zoroastrianism is the only Urantian creed that perpetuates the Dalamatian and Edenic teachings about the Seven Master Spirits.

      Ara for Eastern people the Urantia book is a mystery and big question marks about it being the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
      The Vedas I believe are direct from sourse so accurate but few translators have added their own versions leaving some truths.
      I would love to follow one book that is 100% guaranteed truth and accurate so I know that the info I pass on is accurate and don't mislead innocent people.

Shortly after 9:00 the procession of death arrives at Golgotha, and the Roman soldiers set themselves about the task of nailing the two brigands and the Son of Man to their respective crosses. At about 9:30, Jesus is hung upon the cross. Before 11:00, upward of 1,000 persons have assembled to witness this spectacle of the crucifixion of the Son of Man. Throughout these dreadful hours the unseen hosts of a universe stood in silence while they gazed upon this extraordinary phenomenon of the Creator as he is dying the death of the creature, even the most ignoble death of a condemned criminal - (The Urantia Book, 187:1.11, 3.1)
      30 A.D. - April 7, Friday afternoon. Jesus dies on the cross. It is just before 3:00 when Jesus, with a loud voice, cried out, "It is finished! Father, into your hands I commend my spirit." And when he had thus spoken, he bowed his head and gave up the life struggle; he was 36 years old. When the Roman centurion saw how Jesus died, he smote his breast and said: "This is indeed a righteous man; truly he must have been a Son of God." And from that hour he began to believe in Jesus - (The Urantia Book, 187:5.5 )

      Now I got info from other sources that it was not Jesus who was crusified....so a big question mark about this statement in the Urantia book?

        I find it interesting Daniel Prophesies and Predictions that predate christianity like 3,000 years … based on what he received with the help of Gabriel … here it goes 12:1 “At that time MICHAEL, the great prince who watches over your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress unlike any other from the nation’s beginning up to that time. “When will the end of these wondrous events occur?” 7 Then I heard the man clothed in linen who was over the waters of the river as he raised both his right and left hands to the sky and made an oath by the one who lives forever: “It is for a time, times, and half a time. Then, when the power of the one who shatters the holy people has been exhausted, all these things will be finished.” 8 I heard, but I did not understand. So I said, “Sir, what will happen after these things?” 9 He said, “Go, Daniel. For these matters are closed and sealed until the time of the end. 10 Many will be purified, made clean, and refined, but the wicked will go on being wicked. None of the wicked will understand, though the wise will understand. 11 From the time that the daily sacrifice is removed and the abomination that causes desolation is set in place, there are 1,290 days. 12 Blessed is the one who waits and attains to the 1,335 days. 13 But you should go your way until the end. You will rest and then at the end of the days you will arise to receive what you have been allotted.” This is just a brief summery ... there are more coincidental information or is it coincidence at all?
        
        Michael is our Supreme Ruler of Nebadon … aka Jesus Christ … and when I meant other sources of information I was refer to before "new age movement" … as they were more authentic and original ...
