A friend of mine recently asked me what could be a reason that he did not remmember his dreams, almost ever? I once read somewhere that it could be that such person is under heavy mind control, but I did not tell him so. Does anyone know anything about this?
I think a person can choose (subconciously) not to remember their dreams (their higher self also has alot to do with it) too...
i dont believe its always about mind control as there are other factors involved in remembering ;)
you can also train yourself to remember, there are many aids for this!
I have a dream book (referenced below) that says it depends on when you wake up.
"According to dream scientists, we forget as many as 95% of our dreams. Everyone dreams, but people who say they never do simply cannot remember their dreams. We are more likely to recall our dream if we wake up during or just after REM sleep. Waking up at any other stage in the sleep cycle reduced our chances of remembering our dreams."
Alcohol, sleeping pills, and other drugs (including caffeine) can inhibit our ability to dream. Also, vitamin deficiencies can inhibit ability to dream.
Could be any of these things. Most likely you just wake up at an ideal time during your sleep cycle, which allows you to remember your dreams. If you are interested in remembering your dreams, this book lays out the steps to help.
It's normal, we actually do, but as they seem to stay in short term memory after we wake up, they vanish.
A good method that is widely used for remember dreams and increasing lucidity, is keeping a journal and a pen near your bed.
So when you wake up, the first thing you do before anything, is to think hard about what you dreamed, and don't think about anything else! and as you do, writte down all the details, every minimal detail is important.
You will notice after a few dreams that you can recall more and more details, and remember old ones.
So it's kinda like a diary of your dreams! good luck ;)
Great idea. I did this once for a month and it actually gave me an insight into stuff that was troubling me, and the answers came out in my dreams. I vividly remember most of my dreams, I am lucky that way, but the nightmares haunt me a lot during the day. It was through dreams that I began to remember my abductions, and those memories were not pretty. But by dreaming a lot came out that I was able to let go of and transmute to less intensity. Wish I knew how to sleep for more than four hours at a time though. I am exhausted a lot of the time.
Thank you all so much. I hope this will help my friend. If you have more ideas, or techniques (links), please let me know.
Try these Binaural waves to induce dreams. Lucid dreams can be induced and that is having a conscious awaking state while dreaming. Therefore, you are able to remember it and even to every crevice and cranny detail, as if it happened in your waking state.
it could be that he has astral implant that don't allow him to dream. sometimes forces of the dark like Grey aliens come to earth in their astral form and put implants in two important charkars, The hypothalamus and the third eye sometimes they may do it physically. To develop strongly conscious mind in the his dreams (astral realm) requires a lot of chanting affirmations everyday like (I know this is a dream) and lots of intention. He must incredibly unconscious and alseepp in the astral plane when he goes to sleep and doesn't remember his dreams
