Priest says Hell is an invention of the church to control people with fear.
BTW...he is correct!
The only hell that exists is in your mind.

Permalink Reply by Phaedron on October 3, 2012 at 9:45pm Sheoul, the land of the dead can be pleasant or unpleasant depending... but it's not permanent. The lake of fire is an event that happens the very end of the age of Aquarius, or at least 1000+ years off. Meanwhile...
Mark 10:29-30:
“Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life.
Multiple lifetimes. It's crystal clear. There are hundreds of other verses, but I have chosen the clearest one. With one verse I accuse them all of being liars. The church that says "convert or burn in hell eternally." When even Paul said Jesus died for the whole world. Evil doctrines that made God out to be evil... as in the last 2000 years there were many who never even heard of Christ... Do missionaries actually believe they are eternally damned for that? The biggest sheep left the flock, thats the one Jesus said he loves the most. The big fish was caught and the little ones tossed away. Three out of four fall away: the three soils... but these do not fall away from Christianity, they fall away from Christ... through the cares of life, misunderstanding, and unwilling to suffer persecution by opposing the church.
The church are as messengers, a baby level of the faith, and those in charge, evil Jesuits... Its only good till you outgrow it. Its useful for spreading the gospel to the world... which Jesus said "was to be a witness" of when he destroys them in his second coming... The lies, evil, hypocrisy, of the harlot churchianity

Permalink Reply by Mr.Ed on October 3, 2012 at 10:57pm That's a tough question.
The GFL say they will be among the last to accept the truth...and realize the reality of it all.
Permalink Reply by Kevin on October 3, 2012 at 11:29pm This right here is hell if you're a slave to fear.
I'm in heaven, right here.
Permalink Reply by JustaV6 on October 4, 2012 at 1:09am I used to believe in Hell...until about 7 years ago. I always took it for granted that Hell was real and the Bible spoke the truth. I woke up and started to ask questions. I realized that we are all a part/spark of God/Creator. Why would such a loving God (as the Bible says) make someone speed e t e r n i t y in a place such as hell?
It just did not add up to me. Some people may do some awful crimes, but to burn and suffer forever? No way. I then started to question many other things and to find out who wrote, and when was the Bible put together. Most of the Bible is just stories of events that the authors have added to, to give H I S-S T O R Y of the events. There was no scribes running around with Jesus.
So take from the Bible/Torah/Qur'an or any other "Religious" book what you like, but know that they were written by man. Parts were added to sway your opinion, control you and to give your power over to the Church. There are some good things that one can learn from their study, just don't bet your life on the validity of all that you read.
Permalink Reply by Marique on October 4, 2012 at 1:45am I totally agree with you JustaV6...my thoughts exactly. Hell is a thing threatened for purposes of control. Mankind can create their own hell and experience hell on passing due to their believe that it is real, that is my opinion. My God is not a vengeful and punishing God, that is a manmade image....a God created out of mans image and behavior, not the other way around....
Permalink Reply by Phaedron on October 4, 2012 at 4:26am Well, there are some problems with the Bible, especially the new testament. I am of the opinion that Paul was the Antichrist, that should say a lot, and the 4 gospels and 1 revelation were Ezekiels wheels / the right hand of God. Aside from that I believe the church to be the beast. Within the last 2000 years people were killed for owning scriptures, because in reality they expose the church, and religiosity is very different from the written word. I'm also partial to books that didn't make the 66 book cannon (KJV 666 on the cover), compiled by marcion, like 2 Esdras and the Gospel of Thomas (my favorite) My spiritual journey has been to separate whats true from whats false concerning the biblical faith. Its been an interesting journey. To some degree belief is like placing a bet in a casino. I'm glad I'm able to say I gave it my best, and if we simply enter a golden age and theres no gloom and doom coming, unlikely, then so be it... What have I lost?

Permalink Reply by Kevin on October 4, 2012 at 3:31am Um, not trying to be rude or anything, but i figured hell was a lie pretty early on in life.
If god wanted fear it'd be no god of mine. If god wants love, then we're on the same page.
Simple?

Good video Mr Ed,
just shows the true nature of what the religions really seek to do... and that too, coming from a priest who has been on the *inside* ;)
i always felt this whole hell concept was ********!!!
i was always told as a kid i burn in hell if i didnt accept god... all ********!! *****
