It is rather easier to feel positive when everything goes well, but real positive thinking is revealed when you can maintain it difficult times. It is then that you need it most.
In difficult times, when there are problems and the economic condition is tough, it is so easy to get into negative thinking and self-pity, and be sucked into a vicious circle of worries, fears and the expectation of more problems, lack of money or poverty.
You may read books and articles on positive thinking, and believe that you are positive, but when difficulties and rough times appear, you just forget everything and focus on the problems and difficulties, instead of believing in yourself, looking for solutions and seeking and seizing opportunities.
If you have no job, no money and the future looks bleak you might:

Does this attitude help you in anything? No, it will only get you deeper into problems, because when you see and expect problems you create more problems. This is where positive thinking and positive attitude are required. It is true, it is not so easy to reject negative thinking in such circumstances, and even if you try, you might find yourself again and again reverting to negative thinking and dwelling on your problems.
If you have lost your way in a forest, will thoughts about your predicament help you? If you just sit down on a rock, and think and imagine that you will never find your way out help you in any way?
If you have failed, lost money or your job, will thinking how bad your condition is help you find a new job or earn money?
Wherever you are now, whatever your situation is, there is always a way out. This might require a different way of thinking, a different approach or developing new skills. Forget the past, as you cannot change it, but you can change your present, and when you change your present, you also change your future.
Keeping a positive attitude, expecting the best, striving to do the best and refusing to indulge in self-pity, negative thinking and worries is the road to a better and happier life.

Permalink Reply by Harry0610 on August 7, 2012 at 11:45pm Cheers for this, I hit rock bottom two years ago and still occasionally struggle with thoughts of bitterness and anger to this day. My holistic healer Jenny has helped me immensely, and I finally turned the corner well and truly in February during our last session when she was able to release my heart chakra of various negative energies. 2012 has been my most upbeat year so far since 1990 when I visited what was Yugoslavia just before the war, and I reckon when our reality changes to 5D the world will be a much better place, yowza.

Remez Sasson is the author of this piece and the link is listed. He has many wonderful words of wisdom on his site. You might check it out if you liked this piece. As for me, my life like most is a work in progress. I have found happiness to be a state of mind which is easier to maintain by living in the moment. Like many, I have used negative self talk, but through conscious effort to change that in me, I experimented by giving a more positive spin too my self talk, and found peace of mind. Peace.
Permalink Reply by VioletRay on August 8, 2012 at 3:02am Hi folks, all are free to believe whatever they wish, though here is my view of some of the things this article mentions.
This article points out one valuable nugget of truth and wisdom and that is that worrying or going into fear over a situation will never in the long run help.
Now with that said, i feel this article is attempting to blame the victim, yes yes yes, thoughts do create our reality to a certain degree, though we have human living systems in place that do not serve the good of all and certainly does not meet all humanities basic needs at all times and without enslavement methods attached.
With that knowledge, not one man or woman can ever be called a failure or have problems, the failure and the problem are these human living systems that do not work for the good of all and ultimately only serve to benefit the few.
Again, I don't know from where these type of messages are originating, though i certainly have a clue as to where they are coming from.
This is no different than religion calling people sinners from birth, every last one of you reading this are perfect, wonderful beings just as you are, don't let these type of messages fool you into thinking you are a failure, the game of win/lose monopoly monkey money we are playing is the loser and failure, not any of us.
peace love light
VioletRay,
I'm not sure where you get 'blame' and 'victim' out of this post. If anything the intent is more akin to self-help. It attempts to keep one's spirit more positive even when things may not be going the way one would like them to go.
Yes, our world is currently experiencing issues in many different areas (ie: social, economical, environmental, etc...), however, that does not make us victims. This is our world and the onus is on humanity in each generation to fix their problems and stop blaming the situation on others. We already have the technology to solve most of the worlds problems. It starts with responsibility for our own self, and our state of mind. It is from there we can progress.
When one looks from a perspective of negativity, it can impede that persons will to progress and can cause them to fall into the trap of "poor me, see how bad life is" (aka victim-hood). This type of trap sets up lots of 'drama spins' with little to nothing useful to solve the issue at hand. Yet when one stays with a more positive outlook, they will seemingly look for solutions with a clearer perspective. It also helps to give the will to work wholeheartedly on solutions and to move on. Some already get this lesson, for others this is beneficial information, and yet for others they will dismiss it as is their free will.
I see it as a matter of choices. We all have choices over what we think, what we feel and how we act in any given moment.
It took a long while for me to accept myself for who I am with all my given foibles. It took a shorter time, because I had accepted myself, to learn self love and the ability to release my negativity. Now I have found peace. I take each moment as it comes. In each moment it is up to me to decide what I want to think and how I choose to feel. I am in control of myself. This does not mean I am in a delusional cloud where I only see the positive in life. I see things as they are. I see both the positive and the negative around me and find the terms subjective. Yet, I have learned to detach from the negative emotions and not to let them bring me down or rule over me, and instead to look at things as they realistically are 'in the moment.' I try to share posts here that intrinsically say the things that I have found beneficial in my own path in hopes others may also find some benefit as well.
No one is a failure, we are all on our own paths. We will all get there eventually, the only thing that differs is the scenery and how we choose to perceive it.. --Peace--
