The human race is capable of far greater levels of stupidity
Such as the corporations who rape, plunder and pillage the planet in their hatred of nature. Or the stupidity of those members of the human race who think that nuclear energy is in anyway a good idea. Or the stupidity that has entire continent sized masses of trash out in the ocean or the stupidity of using dolphins in military operations and a million other examples. Yes there is a new term for the level of stupidity of this civilization: Infinite Stupidity.

Thankfully most of the western world is far more civilized, sans mass shootings of course. It a very complex problem. Ownership, the shootings, crime in general, the need for laws (pro/con)....those are only the symptoms.
