"Faith is the source of the Path that gives birth to all merits; it fosters and nurtures all kinds of good dharma. Faith helps you shred the net of doubt and outleap the torrent of attachment; it manifests the supreme way that leads to Nirvana."

People with no beliefs whatsoever are nice loving caring compassionate people as well. The impliocation that we need gods to act a certain way is a defeatist weak attitude bred from ignorance.
Faith is something that is based on trust and NOT knowing. If you KNOW something then you no longer are using faith you are using experience. Please learn to use the words of the language you are speaking with correctly so that you can express your thoughts clearly and without the need for clarification.
Who says I have not had personal experiences. Right now we are discussiong definitions and nomenclature. For you to bring into this the assumption that I have or have not had any type of experience is the exact definition of ad hominem attacks. The blog is saying that faith leads to truth essentially, however the definition of faith is belief without proof and trust, which everyone knows, trust can be broken and is not infallible, and belief in things without proofs leads to false beliefs, again taking humanity away from truth.
Whether or not I have had personal experiences is irrelevant, and for you to assume I have not is arrogant and judgemental behaviour. :)
What does this have to do with you making up new definitions to words?
getting tired of spelling out the real meanings of words to people. Cult brainwashing requires people to make up new meanings to words that fit into their belief structure. There is absolutely no mention of "knowing" anything in the definition of this word, in fact the original latin means "trust" meaning you are going to have to just hope and pray that whatever you have put your faith into will come to pass. You can have all the "faith" you want that you will get that job or find that god you seek, however by the definition itself there is no actual knowing of anyting involved with faith. :)
faith is the belief in something without proof. All that does is foster more misinformation and separation.
