Curious George got it right.
I adore my banana smoothies in the mornings. I have 2 bananas, heaped tbls mesquite powder, bit of stevia powder, almond milk and a bit of organic buttermilk. This fills you right up till 11 or 12 even.
For those of you who don't wish to prepare a heavy dinner, this smoothie could also be a good idea.
Great Super drink to have in the morning Butterfly ...maybe makes you fly like a butterfly all day picking the best and leaving the rest
Bananas are the one of the older GMO foods. There are no seeds in bananas, they bred out the seeds . Now there is a problem with not being able to plant new trees very easily.
There is a big difference between a hybrid and a GMO food. You don´t really need banana seeds for one plant will put up several new plants from the roots each year. I had banana plants in my garden when I lived in tropical places.
Interesting article,,,,thank you.
If you get organic bananas it will be ok ,,,for GMO foods can not be sold as organic or BIO:...be sure to get Fair Trade.
Any time you purposely affect the DNA of a thing, you have genetically modified the thing. Breeding out the seeds is genetic modification, cross pollinating is GMO, having a child is technically GMO, because the child isnt you it is a genetic mix of two random halves of chromosomes.
Technically I guess a child is a hybrid. A hybrid is when a plant is crossed with another plant in the same species. For example you cross a red rose and a white rose to get a pink or striped rose. (yes, there are striped roses). This occurs naturally ...in the nature....but, the nurseries speed this up and choose which plants to cross depending on which colors or characteristics (eg. small seeds) they want. GMO mixes different plants together or adds qualities that are carried on viruses.....this is not natural and it has been proven harmful to those who eat them.
