Just reminded me of composer Brian Eno ... he created a set of cards,

called oblique strategies... When he was composing music, the randomly picked card, would suggest alternate strategies.

John Cage used the I Ching for a similar purpose, relying on chance for guidance in composing.

This DOES appear a bit confusing , now that I re-read what I posted.

The first part is what matters....

Chance is about being open to alternatives...., and rather a different topic.
